Director
Stephanie began conducting in 2012 and has studied under Dr. André Thomas, Dr. Gregory Gentry, Dr. David Kates, and Dr. Hannah Wunsch-Ryan. Her ensembles have included the North Fork Community Choir, Florida State University Choral Union, Deer Lake United Methodist Traditional Worship Choir, Sacred Heart Catholic Christmas Choir, and Arts for All Children’s Summer Choir. She has also conducted several major works with orchestral ensembles, including Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Little Organ Mass, and Mozart’s “Piccolomini” Missa Brevis in C Major K. 258. Her approach focuses on building community and shared experience, using multiple learning paths to foster inclusivity.

Accompanist
Karen has been passionate about music since she started playing the piano at age seven. Her love for music deepened when she joined the NDSU Concert Choir, where she met her husband, Brent. Music has always been central to their lives, and they continue to sing in choirs together. Now, they share this love with their two children, Jacob and Stephanie, who also sing. Blending tradition with new experiences, Karen’s family is united by a shared love of music and community through choir participation.
